Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancelling rides, and what happens with Driver Pass payments.
Last updated: 28 September 2026
MyCityRide ("MyCityRide", "we", "us") provides the MyCityRide passenger app, the MyCityRide Driver app and this website.
1. Ride cancellations by passengers
- You can cancel a ride from the app before it starts.
- There is currently no cancellation fee.
- If you repeatedly cancel after a driver is already on the way, booking on your account may be paused for a short time. The app tells you when you can book again.
2. Ride cancellations by drivers
A driver may cancel before the ride starts, for example if the passenger cannot be found. You can then book again. Repeated unjustified cancellations by a driver can be reported to support.
3. Ride fares
Ride fares are paid by the passenger directly to the driver in cash or by UPI; MyCityRide does not collect them. If you have a problem with a fare, raise a complaint about the ride from the app and our team will look into it with the driver.
4. Driver Pass payments
- If your online payment succeeds but the pass does not appear, it is normally activated automatically once the payment is confirmed. If it still does not appear, contact support with the payment details.
- Payments that fail, or are charged twice for the same pass, are refunded to the original payment method. Refund timelines depend on the payment gateway and your bank.
- A pass that has been activated gives 24 hours of access and is generally not refundable, except where required by law or where it could not be used because of a verified technical problem on our side.
