Terms & Conditions
The rules for using MyCityRide as a passenger or a driver.
Last updated: 28 September 2026
MyCityRide ("MyCityRide", "we", "us") provides the MyCityRide passenger app, the MyCityRide Driver app and this website.
By creating an account or using MyCityRide you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
MyCityRide is a technology platform that connects passengers who need a local ride with drivers who use the MyCityRide Driver app. Ride availability depends on drivers being online near the pickup point; we cannot guarantee a ride for every request.
2. Accounts
- You log in with your mobile number and a one-time password. Keep your phone and codes private.
- An account can be active on one phone at a time; logging in on a new phone logs out the old one.
- You must give correct information. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
3. Bookings and fares
- The fare shown before booking is an estimate. The final fare is calculated from the distance travelled and waiting time, as per the fare chart shown in the app.
- A ride starts only after the driver enters the passenger's start code.
- Passengers pay the driver directly at the end of the ride, in cash or by UPI.
4. Cancellations
Cancellations are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Drivers
- Drivers must hold a valid driving licence and valid vehicle documents, and complete verification before receiving rides.
- Receiving ride requests requires an active Driver Pass. The pass is valid for 24 hours from activation and its price is shown in the Driver App. There is no per-ride platform commission under the current pass model.
- Drivers must follow traffic laws, treat passengers with respect and confirm payments truthfully in the app.
6. Conduct
Passengers and drivers must not harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone, carry illegal items, damage vehicles or misuse the SOS feature. Serious or repeated misconduct can lead to suspension.
7. Safety
Use the SOS button in the app in an emergency and call 112 if you are in danger. MyCityRide helps with support and records, but emergency services are provided by the authorities.
8. Liability
We work to keep the apps available and accurate, but the service is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, MyCityRide is not liable for indirect losses arising from the use of the service.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
